Why do some people look older than they are?

Acupuncturists learn a lot about nutrition. No - I don’t mean calories, macros and all of that. I’m talking about which foods help with specific medical conditions, what’s generally harmful, and how to eat seasonally for optimal health.

Why? Because digestion is the key to your overall health.

No I’m not being dramatic, what you eat forms the foundation of your entire energy system.

Let me explain. You see, you’re born with a certain amount of fixed energy. This is basically what genetics gave you. It’s a natural reserve that supports our overall health. But all the rest of it comes from what you eat

This is why some people born with amazing genetics look like they’re 80 at age 40, while others stay healthier than their siblings, depending on what they ate (or didn’t eat) throughout their lives.

Over the next few weeks I’m going to delve into the why’s and what’s of Fall nutrition. However, I want to state this upfront:

Nothing about this information should be used to guilt, shame or judge yourself.

Because self criticism damages your energy more than a perfectly curated diet.

Don’t try to do this perfectly either. That’s not what this is about.

Just use it for what it is, some info on what to focus on, or avoid, to feel a bit better
